Adult Studies/Activities
New Member Class
For persons interested in uniting with Grace Church. The class will meet with dates being determined by the Pastor. Contact the Pastor or the church office if you'd like to become a member.
The Guild Room Class
For adults who wish to be renewed through the study of the Bible and to be inspired by the singing of favorite hymns. A panel of teachers will be guided by The Methodist Version of the International Sunday School Lessons. Discussion is encouraged. The class leader is Dr. Robert Hayes.
The Fellowship Class
Led by a group of teachers, topics include a variety of contemporary issues and Biblical studies. This class is recommended for adults who are interested in stimulating discussions. A detailed outline of texts and instructors is available. The class meets in the Church Library.
Young Adult Studies
This class meets in "Holyword" Theater in Activities Hall. Study consists of video viewing with discussion.
Adult Fellowship
A number of fellowship groups exist to provide opportunities for informal conversation and shared experiences. Announcements will be made in the Messenger concerning the meetings of these adult groups.
Activities
Service Class
Meeting the third Tuesday of the month at 10:00 a.m. in the home of a member, they administer two grant-in-aids to graduate students planning on entering full-time Christian Service under the direction of the United Methodist Church and to persons entering Christian service.
United Methodist Women
General meetings are held twice a year. There is a planned program and luncheon scheduled for these meetings. Other activities of the group include a Pork and Sauerkraut Lunch/Dinner held in October and a Spaghetti Lunch/Dinner held in the Spring. All women are encouraged to join a Circle. >>Learn more.
History and Heritage Committee
This committee is the guardian of the records of Grace Church by maintaining and cataloging committee reports, newspaper articles and photographs. The committee carries out projects to improve the church archives and to produce exhibits on church history.
