History

Grace Church, formed in 1820, is located directly in front of the State Capitol building at 216 State Street, near the center of Harrisburg.

The limestone, gothic revival style building with its 226 foot high steeple was completed and dedicated in 1880.

In 1897, the State Capitol was destroyed by fire and for two years Grace Church was used by the State Legislature as the temporary State Capitol.

We believe that we are saved through the Grace of the Lord Jesus Christ. - Acts 15:11
